GH Gate Latch Pull is a durable modern solution to reaching over the gate. With its attractive design, it’s a great alternative to the string and wire pulls commonly being used with gravity gate latches. One person can easily install the unit in 10 minutes or less using a drill, 5/8" drill bit, screwdriver and wire cutters. It adds beauty and value to your fence project, as well as provide safety for your pets and property.

Body is made of PA6 plastic materials that won't rust. End cap, base with cap, knob and knob cap made of POM plastic material (also rust resistant). Each kit comes with all hardware included: gate latch pull, extender, nut, bolt, washer, end crimp and rubber end cap.

Gate latch not included. This product is a latch pull only, this product will work with any standard gravity gate latch you provide.

    We have bought 4 GH Gate latch pulls for friends and family. We do not have wooden gates. If we did we would buy them for us also. These are amazing. Everyone that has a wooden gate should get one and they are very easy to install.

    We have a sport court in our back yard that attracts a lot of friends and family on a regular basis! Before we installed the GH gate latch, we were constantly having to make sure our gate was closed so our small dog could not escape! Many times kids would think they closed the gate, but it didn’t latch. Since installing Gh gate latch, we no longer have to worry. Our gate latches perfectly every time! We love it!

    My aunt and uncle recently replaced their 6 ft. fence and added two gates. I am 5’1″ and without the this product, it would be impossible for me to reach over and release the gate latch. I LOVE the ease of use the Gate Latch Pull. This product should be in every hardware store/website. It is clever, well built, durable and affordable.

    From start to finish, about 15 minutes of work. After installation I marveled at the ease and aplomb at how the ezlatch performs its task. A really cool design feature is that the pull is slightly spring loaded. So when you pull it, the lock is released and the pull knob gently springs back to its home position. A nice design feature that I did not expect.
    It’s a nice accompaniment to the beautiful gate I built out of Western Red Cedar. Bravo Ezgate!

    So it’s finally spring and we are building a deck and fence. I saw this on Pinterest and decided to try it. I am so happy! It was easy to install, which is saying a lot because I have arthritis. It looks so nice without my old blue bungee attached to the gate latch. Really great idea and well made product.

    The product looks and worked great, until…. Our gate latch bound up and an over-eager landscaper yanked on it and dislodged the crimp. Now I can’t find any way to order a new crimp (or 5) and no email addresses to contact customer support to ask about them – all I can find is this feedback form. I think it’s unreasonable to expect me to order a whole new kit for the want of a 5 cent part.

    Echoing a recent reviewer, the crimp pieces are the one real flaw to this product right now. I can’t find anything that looks or works better for this purpose, but I have had to replace the mechanism twice now over a two year period because the crimp is pulled off by someone (a landscaper, pool service, pest control…). Finding a more secure method of connection that didn’t regularly break would easily be worth a few more dollars to the price. If this flaw were fixed, I would do nothing but rave about this product because outside of this problem, it’s ingenious. One little bit of re-engineering, that’s all we ask.

      If the end crimp is properly installed…it takes over 60 lbs of force for it to tear away from the wire. These tests has been completed by a 3rd party company. I will be more than happy to send you any replacement parts or a new unit. Please email me directly at aaron@ghgateproducts.com.

    I’m here looking for a crimp end as well. There is no way to order them or contact the manufacturer. I like the concept but the it’s useless without this 5 cent part. Had to go back to the string method. Sucks for me.

    When I saw the Gate Latch Pull on display at a local lumber shop, I knew immediately this was what I was looking for. Installation was a piece of cake. Customer service was phenomenal (I lost a piece during installation and replacement was free and fast and easy!). And I am so happy with the results! Opening and closing my gate used to be difficult (I used the string method), but now I have a super easy knob to pull and my gate opens easily just like that! This product was EXACTLY what I needed and I recommend it highly.

    Absolutely wonderful product. We went through many other designs which all failed, this one works and we are a 90 unit mobilehome park with gated dumpster enclosures. These things are used all day and night in 2 locations. No failures after a year. Our dumpster guy asked me where I got them and he wants one for his home! Good product.

    Excellent pull system. I’m a journeyman carpenter and have worked on tons of fences and gates. I saw these latch pulls advertised years ago and finally this summer got tired of my own gates being left open because the strings always caught on the wood. So i ordered 2 of these to fix my gates. They worked like a charm. So I’m now ordering 3 more for at my farm and to give to a fellow carpenter that does tons of gates and fences every summer. I’m betting he will be a superstar once word gets out he uses these latch pulls for his customers (I guarantee you he will once he see’s them in action).

    I have bought these in the past at the hardware store. It solved my problems of using coat hanger trough the fence post. Much more elegant solution! reliable as well. now Im rebuilding my fence and ready for another one.

    I saw this at the lumber yard and bought two. At the job site I realized they were just too small for a rough 6x post.I e-mailed the company and Aaron gave me a couple of possible solutions. The option I choose needed extra parts and they were shipped out promptly with no charge. Can’t beat that. My only gripe is they are plastic, maybe get one in Brass for the upper end client.

    3 neighbours and myself replaced our fences this year. After the construction was finished we all realized the latches had been installed at the mid point of the gates and couldn’t be reached from outside the yard. I quickly improvised something for one of our 2 gates. I thought to myself there has to be a better solution, so I launched into an internet search and found the GH Gate Latch Pull. I bought 5 units. They took about 10 minutes each to install and work like a charm. I will be interest to see how they hold up in -40oC weather, but so far have loved them and my neighbours were amazed and pleased with the results. Thanks GH!

    This is the best gate latch I’ve come across. One of those logical little “why didn’t I think of that” marvels that comes along to solve a common problem. No longer must you contrive a goofy arrangement involving weights and string running over the top of a gate to release a latch on the other side. With this product you essentially reach straight through the gate. It’s like beating a law of physics, so your friends may well decide you are smarter than they thought. It even comes with great customer service in the unlikely event that a part eventually fails or an adaptation to an unusual situation is in order. Can’t beat that!

    This is a great solution to use with a regular latch, I just fitted mine today on a heavy duty white vinyl fence, it functions great, looks great and was simple to fit.
    Simple elegant solution to an old problem, I was shocked to find there were no solutions stocked by the big box stores. Order shipped very quickly. Strongly recommend this product.

    My latch was improperly installed by my gate installer, and the cable failed prematurely. When contacted for replacement parts, Aaron chose to send a complete latch at no cost to me, even though the problem was not with the latch itself. That’s amazing customer service!

      Jeff- Thank you for the feedback. Please go onto the website and order your free replacement parts. As a piece of advice…you must use a crimping tool when attaching the end crimp. Using plyers will not do the trick!

    I’m a pool builder that called in today to get a part that broke because one of my technician was a bit aggressive on the cable and Aaron was great to speak with when I described what the issue was and really took care of me. I will divinity recommend him to clients when in need for there product. The mechanism we are dealing with is a bit cool, looks clean and super easy to use.

    I’m on my second latch pull. These things are great and work flawlessly..right up until they don’t.

    Like many, the crimp end came off on mine. In the process of designing a workaround, I took the pull off of the gate and found the spring and cable inside rusted.

    I ordered a replacement, but would be more than happy to pay a little extra for one made from all stainless steel parts.

    Also, since.it seems the crimps are so frequently lost, wouldn’t it be cheaper for you and less frustrating for your loyal customers to just throw a few extra in the package?

    These folks are awesome. Great product. Remember calling up after a year and complaining that the latch screws had rusted. They diplomatically pointed out they they did not supply the Latch, only the opening mechanism. Now 5 year later, they are sending us a replacement part, free of charge. Was working great till I pulled the knob off the wire.

    The GHGate latch pull was easy to install ( I’m in my sixth’s) . The hardest part was to drill the hole through the metal frame , once it was done it was as easy as one two three . Not only does it function, but it is also very attractive. I’m planning to buy another for my other gate . I highly recommend this to my friends . Almost forgot great customer service!!!😁
